KANSAS CITY — Consumers should make room on their Thanksgiving tables this year, but it may not be for the traditional and expected dishes — this year, companies are debuting out-of-the-box formulations and putting their own spins on tried Thanksgiving recipes.
Sparkling water company Aura Bora launched its “most unique concoction to date,” with the release of green bean casserole sparkling water. According to the company, the casserole-inspired sparkling water “bursts with a sweet, succulent and buttery goodness.”
Elsewhere, McConnell’s Fine Ice Cream is teaming up with Martinelli’s to release a limited-edition apple cider and cranberry jam ice cream flavor. The flavor features Martinelli’s sparkling apple cider infused with McConnell’s ice cream and blended with ribbons of cranberry jam.
“We wanted to make this season even more memorable by creating a uniquely flavored limited-edition ice cream and California-based McConnell’s was the perfect partner,” said Gun Ruder, president and chief executive officer at S. Martinelli’s & Co. “They’ve successfully captured the essence of Thanksgiving in one scoop of ice cream.”
And lastly, switching up the Thanksgiving dessert is a collaboration between the American Pecan Promotion Board and pizza joint Tony Boloney’s. The pair released a limited-edition pecan pie pizza, which features a buttermilk pizza crust, bourbon-infused tomato sauce, mozzarella, fennel-dusted pepperoni-flavored pecans that is all topped with a spicy balsamic pecan pie glaze.
“We are known for our out-of-the-box creations, and we’re thrilled to be bringing this ready-to-bake pizza meets pie mashup to the masses just in time for Thanksgiving,” said Mike Hauke, founder and owner of Tony Boloney’s Brands. “This plant-based pie is a delicious marriage of our savory classic pizza and the iconic pecan pie, heaping with holiday flavor.”
