Nevis school theater students are hosting Nevissance, a Renaissance-style festival, from 12-5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 19 in the small gym. There is no admission charge for the event or to watch performances of the skit “A Knight’s Tale” by Monroe Oxley.The short skit will be performed at 12:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
Those who purchase gold coins will be able to participate in hair braiding, face painting, pin-the-tail-on-the-dragon, a corn box dig, chair jousting, chess, a pie eating contest, fortune telling, scavenger hunt, mask decorating and archery. Concessions with a Renaissance theme will also be available.
