Lahaina Gateway, West Maui’s largest open-air shopping center, will welcome a slew of new retailers through fall 2023.
The shopping center — anchored by Foodland Farms, Ross Dress for Less, Ace Hardware and the new Maui Powerhouse Gym — has more than 137,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space and is located in West Maui at the intersection of Keawe Street and Honoapiiliani Highway.
“We’re elated to bring nationally recognized brands to Lahaina as well as first-to-Maui merchants offering distinctive products, services and experiences for our guests,” said Diana Whitt, general manager and vice president property manager for the Festival Cos. — the management and leasing agent for Lahaina Gateway — in a statement. “The response from our new tenants has been incredible and they’re looking forward to serving the residents and visitors of West Maui.”
Coming soon to Lahaina Gateway are:
- Blue Hawaii Spa & Reflexology, a 739-square-foot day spa opening its first location on the Valley Isle. According to an announcement Friday, the spa, open this month, is operated by an experienced massage therapist who previously worked at West Maui resorts. Services include a variety of massage therapies, facials and personal care treatments. It is located near Ross Dress for Less and Mahina Lahaina.
- Maui Powerhouse Gym, a 13,922-square foot, full-service fitness center, is scheduled to open in fall 2023 and will be the second Maui Powerhouse Gym on the island. The gym will be located above Ace Hardware and will span the entire second level with visibility to Honoapiilani Highway.
- O’Reilly Auto Parts will open its third Maui location in a 7,316-square-foot space located near Spectrum. The American auto parts retailer is scheduled to open the new location in winter 2022.
- Maui Bubble Tea, another first on Maui, is scheduled to open in winter 2022 in a 671-square-foot space located near Blue Hawaii Spa & Reflexology. This bubble tea concept is introduced by the same owner of SoDo Poke in Seattle.

- Pieology, which offers custom pizzas made with fresh dough and sauces, will open its first location on Maui in the summer of 2023. The 2,267 square-foot restaurant will be located near Ace Hardware.
- Auntie Snorkel, a locally-owned and family-operated snorkel and beach gear shop will expand to West Maui in January 2023. In addition to rental gear, guests will be able to book island adventures and activities including luaus, helicopter tours, dinner cruises, and snorkel/sailing excursions. The 1,200 square-foot shop can be found between O’Reilly and Teddy’s Bigger Burgers.
A spokesperson told Pacific Business News that the shopping center does not provide information on lease costs.
