Pennsylvania State Police released a photo of the suspect caught by a store security camera.
HUGHESVILLE – State troopers say a convenience store was robbed at gunpoint Friday morning in this borough in Lycoming County.
At 7:25 a.m, an unidentified man walked into the Citgo, 1 Main St., slid a note to the cashier demanding money and brandished a firearm, PSP Trooper Jameson Keller said.
An undisclosed amount of cash was placed into an orange bag brought to the scene by the bandit.
The man left on foot, heading north toward Railroad Street, one block away, troopers said.
The suspect was described as between 20 and 30 years old, about 5 feet, 10 inches tall and 165 pounds, police said.
There also was a blue lettering down the left sleeve of the suspect’s sweatshirt. He wore a black mask and black Nike gloves, police said.
The armed robbery led to municipal departments from Hughesville and Muncy areas assisting with the PSP on scene.
Hughesville Police confirmed that the investigation is being led by the PSP.
