Feeling like you need a cruise in your life, but you don’t have the funds to leave Utah County? CLAS Ropes Course in Provo has just the answer for you.

“Join us as we celebrate this special time of year with a wondrous boat ride adventure on the Provo River,” owner Benjamin Allen said. “Enjoy festive decorations and thousands of lights that twinkle above the river with Christmas music playing softly in the background.”

This is the 26th year the company has offered special Christmas Cruises on the lower Provo River. Along the cruise route, passengers will find holiday scenes, villages and more to awaken the Christmas spirit.

Even Santa can’t resist this event and will pay a surprise visit to all the kids and kids-at-heart to pass out Christmas candy and bellow a hearty “Ho-ho-ho!”

Cruises begin Thursday and run through Dec. 23, except Sundays.

According to Allen, the group has two excursion boats, each able to accommodate 40 people per ride. The boats operate from 5:30-9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 5:30-9:45 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, with departures every 15-30 minutes. Each round-trip ride take approximately 20-25 minutes.

Hot Chocolate, cookies and other concessions are available for purchase.

The cost is $9 per person, but $10 on the weekend. A whole boat reservation is $221. Children age 2 and under are $1 or $2, depending on the day. Both boats are wheelchair accessible.
